BOB BAINES PROVES WHAT HE
SAYS AND WHAT HE DOES DIFFER
GOP Calls On Baines To
Keep Promise
"Frank Guinta has a competency
gap." Raymond Buckley, Chairman of the Manchester City
Democrats (Union Leader, July 4, 2004)
(Referring to Frank Guinta) "skunk
at Manchester's garden party," Brain Fallon, Executive
Director of the Manchester City Democrats, ( June 27, 2005,
MCD Press Release)
(Referring to republicans)"
misfits, malcontents and mental munchkins." Ray Buckley,
(Flag Day Dinner, June, 2005)
"Guinta’s biggest supporter so far
appears to be Frank Guinta" Brian Fallon (June 5, 2005,
Manchester City Democrats Press Release)
(Regarding negative politics and
personal attacks) "Let’s get rid of it here in Manchester.
Let’s start a movement across the country." Mayor Bob
Baines, Election Night, 2003
Mayor Bob Baines and his party have
been slinging attacks at Republicans continuously for the
past several weeks despite Baines own self-proclaimed
pursuit to lead the charge against this kind of negative
campaigning. "We would like to know what happened to this
pronouncement he made when he was elected in 2003," said
Cliff Hurst, Chairman of the Manchester City Republicans.
"He said he wanted to get rid of negative campaigning and
personal attacks and yet he leads the party of inflammatory
and derogatory remarks. Mayor Baines should stand behind his
own statements and call on his Party’s Chairman Ray Buckley
and his Party’s Executive Director Brian Fallon to stop
slandering Republicans on his behalf."
The Manchester Republican Committee
is calling on the Mayor to ask his operatives to run a clean
election and engage in debate on the issues; not on party
rhetoric and personal attacks.
