Mayor Baines & Ray Buckley Shows Blatant Disrespect
for Manchester Residents
In another example of blatant
disrespect for Manchester City Residents Mayor Bob Baines names Democrat
City Chairman and Democrat State Vice-Chairman Ray Buckley to the
Manchester Community Access Media board of directors.
“This is part of an effort
to make sure that MCAM is representative of the community,” Baines aide
Michael Colby said. Mayor Baines office clearly does not get it, Ray
Buckley could only fairly represent a community filled with people who
think just like he does and Manchester is not one of those communities.
Naming someone to any board
who calls one third of the City “mental munchkins” can only be seen as
party patronage. This partisan move shows a clear disconnect between
Baines and a third of his constituents.
Manchester Republican
Chairman Cliff Hurst said, “The Mayor is supposed to represent all of
his constituents, not just those in his party. It is time to put an end
to this clear conflict of interest. We ask Mayor Baines to show some
integrity and remove the city’s community access channel from the hands
of his party’s politics. Ray Buckley needs to go.”
